India Film Week 2026 was presented by the India Film Festival of Alberta in association with the Consulate General of India, Vancouver.

The program featured a selection of films for audiences in Edmonton, reflecting the diversity of storytelling from India and the Indian diaspora. The screenings included classic films, contemporary works, and independent cinema, offering audiences a chance to experience different styles and voices in filmmaking.

The event invited the community to enjoy these films on the big screen, including timeless classics and works presented in newly remastered formats that brought these stories back to life for today’s audiences.

The program was also organized with deep appreciation for senior members of the community, giving them the opportunity to watch beloved classics once again on the big screen, including restored and digitally colourized versions that many remember from earlier generations.

Entry was free and open to the public. Thank you to everyone who joined us — see you at the next India Film Week!
